You have arrived at The Pirate Candy Shop’s website. We are two families who have come together to bring what we love most to the United States, namely Swedish candy as well as Ecuadorian delicacies!

Growing up on other continents of Earth, one can’t help but miss some of the best things from back home. We all come to the U.S. for a reason, whether it is for better job opportunities, quality of life, specialized college education, or simply to enjoy a new country full of adventure and beautiful scenery.

Nevertheless, the food culture we grew up with, the flavors and cherished recipes we live and die for, didn’t make the journey over here with us.

Sweden is known for its rich and wide variety of sweet flavors, its all-natural, non-GMO, gluten-free and chemical additive-free candy, and its palm oil-free and out-of-this-world tasting chocolate!

Ecuador is known for its natural and fresh tasting foods, its wide variety of beans, grains and spices, and for being one of the world's largest suppliers of cocoa beans and delicious fruits. The word "organic" does not exist in Ecuador. All their food is pure and directly from nature.

Last year Swedish candy, and specifically BUBS, broke records in popularity on social media in the United States. Many consumers had never tasted anything like Swedish candy. With decades of flavor mixing and testing, and the use of all natural ingredients, the BUBS candies (skulls, ovals and other types) bring a new and fresh taste to U.S. consumers.

The same goes for many other types of Swedish candy, which are typically picked and mixed into a bag for consumers to eat and enjoy while going to the movies, or on the weekend after a long week of hard work.

Therefore, our families decided to put our heads together and help bring more of these unique and popular treats to America. And thus The Pirate Candy Shop, located in Tampa, Florida, was formed.
