What is happening with the BUBS? And how to get them?

Where did some of our favorite BUBS flavors go? And are they coming back for purchase?

The Bubs Swedish candy of ovals, skulls and octopuses happen to be some of the most popular candy of Swedish flavors sold in the United States.

But what happened to some of their flavors and assortment? Where did the octopuses go? And the Bubs Cool Cola Skulls?

As a matter of fact, the Bubs factories have currently paused some of their candies due to a high worldwide demand for certain flavors and candies they still and currently produce. Namely: the Banana Caramel Ovals, the Pomegranate Ovals, the Dizzy Skulls, the Giant Sour Skulls, the Tutti Frutti Rhombs, the Licorice Raspberry Skulls, the Fruity Pear Ovals, as well as their new pre-packed bags available in Swedish stores.

But what happened to the Cool Cola Skulls, the Bubs Watermelon and Blueberry Ovals or the seasonal flavors like the Cheesecake Tutti Frutti Rhombs?

According to sources working at the Bubs company, all flavors and candies available on their website https://bubs.se/en/produkter/ will be put back into production and made available for purchase in Sweden and abroad.

There are still some Bubs candies in circulation and online from the backlogged products, but who knows if they haven't passed their expiration date or how fresh they really are.

And as the Bubs factory workers themselves say, they didn't burn down, they didn't stop producing, and they didn't stop exporting their products to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

There have been minor and short term interruptions in the production of Bubs, but the factories are still up and running, producing our favorite candies for everyone to enjoy.

How do I purchase or get a hold of BUBS?

The Bubs factory (BUBS Godis AB), which is now owned by Orkla Confectionery & Snacks, does not sell Bubs candies directly to consumers or to companies per se. They only supply their candy to candy wholesalers who then export Bubs to Swedish stores or other companies who can then sell Bubs candy to consumers.

The Pirate Candy Shop in Tampa, FL sells all available BUBS flavors of Swedish candy directly to consumers throughout the United States. There are other places where you can get BUBS candy, such as TikTok, Amazon, Etsy/Pinterest, from other Swedish companies operating in the U.S., etc.

Are BUBS candies healthy?

While it is hard to claim that any candy is good for your health, when you put candy from American stores next to BUBS candy, BUBS definitely takes home the prize. All BUBS candies are gluten-free, non-GMO, gelatin-free, vegan-friendly, halal, kosher, you name it. All color dyes used in Bubs and other candies made in Sweden follow very strict rules about where the dyes come from, as laid out by the European Union. Dyes and colors that do not come from nature, or are considered natural or bad for your health according to their guidelines, are not used in the manufacture and production of Swedish candy or Bubs.

All that being said, if you have any further questions about how or where to get your hands on BUBS candy, what flavors are available, or what flavors will be coming back in the future, don't hesitate to contact The Pirate Candy Shop/Swedish Candy in Tampa to learn more!
